Job Title: 156584- Building Energy Measurement and Verification Specialist
Description: This is a great position to showcase your talents in a highly visible, customer focused role as a Building Energy Measurement and Verification Specialist. The main function of this position is to provide Measurement and Verification support to the Honeywell Building Solutions team. The goal is to ensure system uptime and efficiency.

This position is located in Wisconsin (either Madison or Milwaukee).
Responsibilities:
This position involves, but involvement is not limited to, the following tasks:
- Development & implementation of Measurement & Verification (M&V) plans for ESPC (Energy Savings Performance Contracts) and Demand Side Management (DSM) projects
- Provide M&V support to the development team during HBS response to RFPs/RPQs for ESPCs
- Estimate M&V cost at different levels of performance contracts
- Review bid/contract packages for quality assurance and making sure that M&V requirements are properly identified
- Coordinate M&V activities with Energy Analyst (EA), Performance Contracting Engineer (PCE), Project Construction Manager (PM), design and commissioning engineers during audit, design, construction and commissioning periods
- Interface with PCE for review of design intent and savings calculations
- Participate in data collection and performance verification of retrofitted equipment
- Conduct on-site spot measurements and short term data collection during construction and post-retrofit periods as required
- Building or campus energy systems baseline development and baseline adjustments
- Energy management control systems operational and programming code analysis for system optimization and commissioning
- Make recommendations to Local Service/Sales teams for improved customer support, and assist with contract retention strategies and tools for recapturing cancelled customers
- Determine shortfall, contract payouts, and forecast payouts. Notify Local Service/Sales teams of potential savings shortfall, coordinate form of guarantee shortfall makeup, and closeout customer receipt/acceptance of annual performance period
- Maintain all customer records related to energy performance contracts
- Prepare savings guarantee, energy analysis, and/or presentations for various contract customers
- Deliver and explain savings and energy analysis results to customers
- Prepare customer Meeting Reports to document all agreements and needed actions
- Resolve customer issues and avoid litigation through problem resolution and negotiation
- Perform the assigned duties with minimal supervision, but also work in a team problem-solving environment
- This position will have diverse accountability for multiple customers at various locations
Basic Qualifications:
- AAS or Diploma in a Technical Field
- 2 years experience in engineering and energy savings calculations for performance contracting
- 2 years customer account management, consulting, and contract experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
- 5 years experience in engineering and energy savings calculations for performance contracting
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) desired
- Knowledge of energy management software (Metrix Utility Accounting System desired).
- Experience with HVAC/HVAC Engineering desired, including building controls and management systems
- Knowledge of M&V protocols and guidelines (ex: FEMP and IPMVP)
- Knowledge of building load simulation software programs (Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, and Micro Access desired)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Effective influencing, communicating, and negotiating skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to provide sound and reliable judgment in business solutions
- Sound business acumen, including resource management, cash flows, conflict resolution, and contract management
- Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed team environment with a win-win orientation.
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Knowledge of current and developing technologies within the energy marketplace
